Crunch Care, Inc. was founded by Stacie Steelman who began her career in the corporate staffing industry. Starting out as a Recruiter, she interviewed and placed hundreds of accounting and financial professionals for Adecco Corporation, a $5 billion global recruitment leader. Stacie quickly worked her way up to corporate management, taking a leadership role as a Division Manager and overseeing the Los Angeles market while supporting her team through a major acquisition.
After 5 years in the industry, Stacie relocated to the San Diego area and got married. She continued to develop her career in the staffing industry for 2 additional years, working for a boutique recruitment firm that focused on the mortgage, accounting, and administrative markets. A sample of her clients included: The Del Mar Racetrack, The Home Depot Company, First American Insurance Corporation, and Petco.
Stacie was next recruited by The Active Network (Active.com) to help develop a sales and marketing team for a new product, focusing on the non-profit market. A sample of her clients included: Girls On Run International, Susan G. Komen Races for the Cure, and Make a Wish Foundation. After two years of spearheading the department and developing a successful revenue stream, Stacie and her husband had their first child and she made the decision to be a stay-at-home mother.
Recognizing the obvious need in the San Diego market for reliable, trustworthy, "on call" in-home care solutions, Stacie began her new venture by founding Crunch Care, Inc which specializes in the recruitment of babysitters, nannies, and caregivers for newborns, children, the elderly, and post-surgical patients. Her experience in the corporate recruiting industry hiring over 500 professionals, and as a mother of a young child in the San Diego area allow her to bring a unique approach to the in-home care industry.
Today Stacie and the Crunch Care team offer an effective assessment and recruitment process that meets the needs of individual families, corporate benefits programs, and organizational partnerships. The company is mom inspired and operated by professionals from the corporate recruiting and human resource industry. They are experts in interviewing, evaluating, screening, and helping families with their in-home care needs.

Kelly Welker began her professional career with Andersen LLP in Los Angeles as a Tax Associate specializing in corporate expatriate populations. After working at Andersen for over a year Kelly moved onto Deloitte LLP where she began to take on a more active role in consulting both corporations and their expatriate populations on the details surrounding the relocation of an employee and family to a foreign country.
As a Manager at Deloitte, Kelly was involved in recruiting for her group as well as overseeing the training and development of those she supervised. Kelly also worked very closely with various corporations, their employees and employee families on various aspects of the international assignment.
After spending five years at Deloitte, Kelly decided it was time to broaden her knowledge base so she applied for graduate school at Pepperdine University, and took a job with one of her clients, Avery Dennison. Working in Avery’s HR department Kelly spent even more time working with employees and their families, ensuring that relocations, whether domestic or international, went as smoothly as possible and providing ongoing support to such families for the duration of the assignment.
Shortly after relocating to Orange County Kelly left Avery in order to concentrate on completing her MBA. Once Kelly graduated she was anxious to apply the knowledge and skills she had attained in graduate school. After discussing the opportunity to open a Crunch Care location with long time friend, and founder of Crunch Care, Stacie Steelman, Kelly decided her next endeavor would be opening the Orange County location of Crunch Care. Kelly was certain that her professional background in consulting and HR coupled with her newly acquired MBA would give her the right skills to not only identify a family’s needs, but to then recruit and refer the most qualified care giver for that family.
Kelly has been married for many years to her husband Steve. The newest location of Crunch Care is located in Laguna Niguel where Kelly and her team provide services throughout Orange County and South Los Angeles County.
