Short-Term Care Options

From time to time, all families have a need for a short-term caregiver or babysitter, whether it's someone watch children when daycare is closed, drive a parent to and from their doctor appointments, for a date night, or to cover for their regular nanny's vacation.  Allow us to handle all arrangements and scheduling for your short-term care needs. 

Care Club Members

We charge a per-booking referral fee to the client.  The client is considered the employer and pays the caregiver directly.  Fee quoted above is a referral fee paid to Crunch Care only.  Each booking is for a scheduled shift and a minimum of 4 consecutive hours. 

Long-Term Care Options

Families seeking to hire a long-term caregiver, such as a nanny or senior companion, benefit from hiring a candidate directly, using Crunch Care's expertise in assessment, recruiting, interviewing, and placement.

Part-Time $1450 (29 hours per week or less)
Full-Time $1950 (30 hours per week or more) 
Live-In $3100 (discount available based on salary of nanny)

*All placements include a standard background check by PFC Information Services including felony and misdemeanor check county or state wide when available, DMV, Social Security Verification, Sexual Offender File check, Trustline background registry, other background check options are available upon request for an additional fee.

*Extended fee search may apply to non-live in searches beyond a 6 week period. 

*Trustline is a mandatory state run background check program run by the California Department of Social Services and the FBI.  It is a requirement by all agencies in the State of California to ensure all applicants referred have this detailed background check.  It is not simply a one time check, but an ongoing monitor of the person you hire to work in your home.

Service For Individual Families

Hotel and Vacation Care

Babysitters, nannies, and caregivers are available for out of town guests staying at San Diego hotels or vacation rentals.  Our Recruiting Team coordinates with individual visitors as well as hotel staff to accommodate your specific needs.  We look forward to working with you.

We provide a broad menu of services for background checks that are personally performed, evaluated, and interpreted by our professional recruiting team.  Our background check partner is the preferred vendor for the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies (APNA). If you think you have found the perfect nanny, babysitter, or caregiver and you would like to be sure, get your Candidate Crunched!  This is an excellent method of screening to use if you have been referred to someone or if you placed an advertisement on your own.  Candidate Crunching offers the following components:

  • assessment of your family's "most desired" nanny/caregiver qualities
  • interview conducted by a professional recruiter, hiring manager, and mom-all of our staff have years of professional recruiting experience (video conferencing may be available in your city, fee may apply upon request)
  • behavioral-based candidate assessment
  • verification and examination of three to four professional references
  • written Candidate Crunch Report and Evaluation, print out of official background check
  • oversight of registration on Trustline if in California
  • oversight and interpretation of additional background checking as requested
  • enrollment of candidate in First Aid and CPR course
  • sample nanny/caregiver employment contract
